The Southwest Festival of the Written Word is a biennial event in Silver City, New Mexico. The next Festival will be September 29 – October 1, 2017.
It is important to the Festival steering committee to support reading and writing in between the Festivals, too. To this end, we organize several “Prologue Events” each year as well as a “Prologue Weekend” during even-numbered years. Our next Prologue Weekend will be Thursday, September 29 – Saturday, October 1, 2016.

An informal workshop on self-publishing and other ways to get your writing seen. Writers Beate Sigriddaughter, Stewart Warren, and Chris Lemme will share strategies and answer questions. Writers of all ages are welcome.
