The Southwest Festival of the Written Word is a biennial event in Silver City, New Mexico.  The next Festival will be September 29 – October 1, 2017.

It is important to the Festival steering committee to support  reading and writing in between the Festivals, too.  To this end, we organize several “Prologue Events” each year as well as a “Prologue Weekend” during even-numbered years.  Our last Prologue Weekend was Thursday, September 29 – Saturday, October 1, 2016.

All events are free and open to the public!
