Hopscotch Life Released

Kris Neri’s novel, Hopscotch Life, was released on March 17 by Cherokee McGhee Publishing. Neri’s debut women’s fiction novel chronicles the adventures of Plum Tardy as she pulls her life together following a series of mishaps. Feeling like she’s living in a country song, having just lost her job, her house, and her man, quirky Plum Tardy sets out in her usual hopscotch fashion to find a completely new town and a new man. But even knowing how out-of-synch she is, and how oddly she moves through life, Plum could never have predicted the way her past would collide with her present. Will her offbeat approach save her, or land her behind bars in hopscotch hell?

Neri is a multi-award winning author, who also writes the Tracy Eaton mysteries, featuring the daughter of eccentric Hollywood stars; the Samantha Brennan & Annabelle Haggerty magical series, featuring a questionable psychic who teams up with a modern goddess/FBI agent; as well as thrillers and short stories. She teaches writing for the prestigious Writers’ Program of the UCLA Extension School and other organizations.

When asked about her inspiration for the novel, she says, “The day quirky Plum Tardy, the protagonist of Hopscotch Life, walked onto the page for me was one of the luckiest in my writing life. I’ve so loved getting to share her journey. She’s fun, refreshingly unique, and generous — Plum’s only flaw is not realizing how special she is.  My hope is that readers will come away from Hopscotch Life with the idea that people who are out-of-synch with the norm often bring a more creative approach to the problems we all share.”

More information regarding Neri’s work is available on her website at krisneri.com. Hopscotch Life may be purchased on the Amazon website.

“With a bevy of fun secondary characters, enough sparkling dialogue to fill a dozen champagne flutes, and just enough charming humor to keep Plum’s plight from breaking our hearts entirely, Neri finally walks her heroine through the execution of a plot twist worthy of Danny Ocean…oh, yes, utterly satisfying. Hopscotch Life is fun, charming, and rich in emotion.”
