10:00 –11:00am
Silver City Library, 515 West College Avenue

Raven Drake, poet and author of The Jagged Edge, will perform his poetry at the Silver City Library in celebration of National Poetry Month. Drake moved to Grant County 10 years ago and found inspiration in the magical geography of the area. His work reflects an ongoing exploration of and fascination with assorted mythic realms, and multi-dimensions of the imagination. For years, he’s been interested in poetry as an act of conjuration or spellcraft, taking as a given that archetypal space/time is fully inhabited with various aspects of the soul/self. For more information on Raven Drake, visit http://silvercitytourism.org/poets/raven-drake/ This event is open to the public free of charge.

We respectfully acknowledge that the entirety of southwestern New Mexico is the traditional territory, since time immemorial, of the Chis-Nde, also known as the people of the Chiricahua Apache Nation. The Chiricahua Apache Nation is recognized as a sovereign Native Nation by the United States in the Treaty of Amity, Commerce, and Friendship of 1 July 1852 (10 Stat. 979) (Treaty of Santa Fe ratified 23 March 1853 and proclaimed by President Franklin Pierce 25 March 1853).
