Bonnie Buckley Maldonado is Silver City’s first Poet Laureate. She is the award-winning author of four books of poetry and has been anthologized in many more. She was a Willa Finalist by Women Writing the West, in 2010. She is a retired professor and dean from Western New Mexico University.
